I'm just getting myself back into flying after a 5 year hiatus. I use to have a Cherokee 180, which was an awesome aircraft (I know everyone says this about their aircraft). It was a sad day to sell it - common sense prevailed - renovations took precidence over having an aircraft which wasn't seeing a lot of sky time due to work. Still doing renos, but have convinced the better half that I could squeeze a few bucks for flying. I will probably be flying 172's or Cherokee's to keep my currencies up, but I would like to get another aircraft and have been looking at the EZ Flyer and the Chinook Plus 2.

I would like to build, but right now I neither have the time or space, so probably will be looking for a good used AULA in the next few years like the Chinook Plus 2 or for that nostalgic feel the Murphy Renegade. But for building, I've narrowed my choices down to the EZ Flyer and the Chinook Plus 2. Anyone have experience or know anyone with experience with either of these 2 aircraft?

Thanks!

I can't comment on building the EZ-Flyer, but from flying it: It is very well behaved, forgiving, and real solid.

Moving from 172's it took me a bit to get used to being out in the open, but that is part of the fun.
