I'm looking to purchase a new jointer and have been looking at a 6" or an 8". The 6" I'm looking at has a 66" table and the 8" has a 75" table. (My shop isn't large, so space is a consideration) What I'm wondering though is how long of a board can I expect to be able to joint on a 66" table -vs- the 75" table and does anyone have any suggestions or opinions regarding 6" -vs- 8" and brand. Also, I don't joint many boards longer than 8'
