RE: Aircraft Sales and Pards (i.e. ASAP Chinook) Looking to Sell
Just the other day there was a post on the Beaver/Chinook Yahoo Forum from Paulette at ASAP. They are seeking to sell their fixed-wing business to any interested owner. They are not going out of business - just wanting to sell their manufacturing interests.
I hope someone good steps up to the plate - and if not - that ASAP hangs around until someone does. Someone will have to take over the Beaver/Chinook line in order for currently registered AULA's to keep their status. If not, then I guess they all automatically become BULA.
Here's the text of Paulette's post:

Dear Chinook and Beaver owners;
Well it's been a ride but now it's time to move on. We took two wonderful Canadian made light aircraft, redesigned them, improved them, brought them back to life and supported the good, the bad and even the ugly but now after nearly 23 years of manufacturing our wonderful birds, we've decided it's time to pass on the reign to some new enthusiast. There's a change on the horizon with some of the principals long overdue for retirement while others are spreading their wings to other interests.
Aircraft Sales and Parts is actively seeking to sell our fixed wing division which is comprised of the Chinook Plus 2, the Beaver RX550 Plus and our single place Beaver SS. The realm of the business also includes supporting the pre-existing Beaver series (RX550, RX28 and RX35) as well as the Birdman Chinook (WT11 and WT2S).
We will continue to operate as we always have by phone or by e-mail and we encourage any serious inquiries to reach Paulette at paulette@uniserve.com where more details can be discussed.
When we first started, some of us were merely young adults....now that time has passed, we know that new blood and new ideas is what a great company needs to continue to thrive. We look forward to continuing to support each and every one of you as we always have and until the torch can be passed on.
