On the morning of December first, 2005, three intrepid flyers, being Dave Scott, Wayne Johnston and Bill Bryan (all ultralight instructors) braved morning rush hour traffic in Toronto to go to the regional offices of Transport Canada to obtain the new passenger carrying endorsement for the pilot permit - ultralight aeroplane.
We arrived spot on at nine o\'clock and proceeded to the fourth floor (after having deposited countless amounts of change in the parking meter) and entered the main office, We were greeted cheerfully and were soon attended to by John Fennell, a Civil Aviation Safety Inspector. Despite being the first day for the new endorsement and the early hour, we were seved, paid up and had our permits signed within half an hour. John\'s personable manner and knowlege of the new rating made the day an easy one. So, unless someone east of here did the same as us, I guess we could be the first in Canada able to now enjoy the privilege of being able to LEGALLY carry a passenger in an advanced ultralight. More will follow I\'m sure. Happy flying to all. Get those skis polished!
