Wind, Posted 11-10-2005, 12:57 PM #1
Here in S. Ontario, the past few days have been very windy. An F1 tornado touched down and caused extensive damage in Hamilton. My hanger is facing south, and is unprotected from anything but a north-west wind. Having two planes stuffed in the one-plane T-hanger means the doors can only be closed 2/3rds. Standing on the roof sunday, the gusts were lifting the roof a few inches, not pulling screws or posts, but flexing it. I was in the right place several years ago and got an old school bus for free. It fired right up after a good battery was popped in, and I parked it in front of the hanger. The wind howled throughout the rest of the day and night but I was able to sleep. How did everone else make out?
