I would check with Bryson on the insurance question. You can find their name in your UPAC news letter. I talk to some glider pilots a while back and they bought as a club then went on a pay per use deal so that those that don't get as much flying time don't feal like their over paying. By doing this they could get into a high performance glider worth a lot more than any individual would be able to pay for. Pay per use would have to cover maitainance fuel etc.

We had a bit of a hard time getting local pilots to form a club and meet regularly at the Lubitz farm. When we converted a part of the barn over to a warm clubhouse and started Saturday morning breakfasts (rain or shine) things really picked up.

On a nice day we get planes and you can count on at least 5-6 people showing up. Everyone is welcome, not just pilots. I bring friends and family when I can.
