I am curious to know what texts are being used these days to train applicants for a Ultralight Pilot Permit? What is recommended for a student pilot to learn the necessary subject matter?

From the Ground Up is still an all time classic and the best I've seen.

Many UL flight schools are successfully using UPAC's set of manuals for their ground school instruction.

Well said, thats what my instructer used and they are an excellent resource and training manual(s).
